Prior to the church wedding, the famous actors had already obtained their marriage license in California; and, the same judge who married in California was commissioned to conduct the ceremony in France. The children of the couple were present. Angelina walked to the altar by the hand of his eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, while being followed by Zahara and Vivienne, charged with throwing rose petals in their path. Meanwhile, Shiloh and Knox were responsible for carrying the rings down the aisle.
